The rubbish Gibson plastic bridge pins have been replaced with some handmade Buffalo Horn ones that I got from Rothesay Music.Ĭurly/Quilted maple back and sides are in great condition and look lush. The rosette on this has Abalone inlay work – which really “ups the bling factor.” The “moustache” Bridge is made of ebony to match the fingerboard, and like the fingerboard it has abalone inlays.

The scratch guard – as usual has lost much of its paintwork – an unavoidable part of use. The bodywork – spruce top is near unmarked. I’ve worked on these, and they are minimal – and now can’t be felt when playing. The reverse of the neck has a few very light scratches that suggest this has been leant against some shelves or something. Frets only show wear on the B string position when you play an open D or a G…. The unmarked ebony fingerboard is set off by the beautiful abalone inlay work. The Gibson Logo and the flowerpot are inlaid with Abalone rather than the usual synthetic MOP. There’s a couple of chips on the headstock, but they could be filled.
